Q: Who started Patches of Pride?
A: Patches of Pride [PoP] was created by illustrator / designer
Mark Otnes, a life-long toy collector and die-hard GIJoe enthusiast.
He's the happy kid to the right, holding up his new (now vintage) GIJoe
space capsule and astronaut circa Christmas, 1966. (His brother
didn't get one, can ya' tell?)
Q: When, and How did Patches of Pride start?
A: Flash forward to 1998. Mark's eyes fall upon another old, dusty, beat-up vintage GIJoe Space Capsule sitting in the corner. Turning it over in his hands, he realized he could replace the capsule's withered, original stickers with his own professional creations, and make it look practically brand-new. He set to work recreating the battered decals, and when he was done, the custom reproduction capsule instrument panel decal became PoP's FIRST official product. Since that time, PoP's inventory of custom-made 1/6th scale merchandise has grown quite substantially--and we see no end in sight.
Q: Is there
a PoP store that I can visit in person?
A: No, we don't have a physical store, sorry. We're strictly
an internet-based mail-order business. It's our intention to keep
our overhead as low as possible, and pass the savings on to you.

Q: Do you guarantee your merchandise?
A: Yes! We want you to be happy with your purchase. If you're
not, simply return it to us and we'll refund your purchase price!*
Shipping is non-refundable and there is a 10-day limit on requesting
to return items for refunds.
* PLEASE NOTE these are our refund/return restrictions:
1) All returns and refunds are subject to our approval.
2) All returned items MUST be accompanied by a return authorization number
(we'll email it to you).
3) Unauthorized returns are not be accepted.
4) We reserve the right to refuse refunds for any reason to anyone at anytime.
5) There is a 10 day limit for requesting returns or refunds.
6) Return shipping is not refundable.
Q: What methods of payment do you accept?
A: We accept Money Orders, Mastercard or Visa credit cards, and
PayPal.

A: We provide FREE shipping for most patch and decal
orders to destinations within the U.S. (unless otherwise specified in
the item's description). Our free shipping offer does not typically apply
to conversion kits or bulky items (see that specific item's description
for details). And, shipping is (unfortunately) additional for ALL international
orders.
Q: Do you take product suggestions or accept
custom orders?
A: Absolutely! Here's the page for custom
order information. As for suggestions, you simply need to e-mail or call us to submit
your suggestion for upcoming products. We promise to make as many of the
suggestions as we possibly can!
PLEASE let us know if you're looking for anything in particular. Chances are, we've already made it, and just haven't had the time to list it yet!
Q: Do you take used action figures, old games,
comic books, or other stuff in trade for PoP merchandise?
A: Yes! As a matter of fact, our "Trader's
Bucks" program is very, VERY popular. It's just a great way
to turn your extra toys and stuff into PoP store credit. Some of our customers
have used this plan exclusively, and have NEVER paid a single penny
for their Patches of Pride merchandise!
